Polar Shades Sun Control in Henderson, NV normally manufactures window shades; but in the light of the present Coronavirus pandemic, along with philanthropic consulting firm The Emergent Group, their operations are being altered to now instead mass produce personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of respiratory masks and gowns, to be distributed to the medical community throughout Nevada, a campaign referred to as “SHADES DOWN, MASKS UP”. Likewise, Cox in Las Vegas, aside from providing people with critical communications services during this quarantine period, donated 5,000 protective shoe covers to University Medical Center.
